FOR TODAY... from Peggy's Daybook

Outside my window... a better view of the valley below now that the leaves are off.

I am thinking... how nice to have lost another dress size...to date, from a nearly 24 to a now 14 in four years.

I am thankful for... that I turned my back on all hollows eve about...ah, 22 years ago now.

I am wearing... my long brown swingy skirt, pumpkin colored blouse and my dangly pumpkin colored earrings...a bit of perfume, yep, even at home I want to feel my best. I have never owned a pair of sweatpants...come to think of it, neither do my menfolk...yuck...whew, that was random.

I am remembering... how I used to make more from scratch and how I plan to get back to this and a few other things instead of looking for myself....roflol...how is it we forget sometimes how good things really are...I think we do not appreciate them until we have misplaced them or overlooked. This is my note to myself, that is why there is no sense in the words. smile

I am going... to be home every day this week except for Thursday, errand day...which allows me to save time, save gas, keep the homefires burning (literally) and meals ready when needed

I am reading... a small book in size, but mighty in content...stay tuned for the review

I am hoping... to change my approach to Hannah's home learning routine even midstream, even though the Pa. law is the harshest in the country and even though it is not like me to do so...there ya go!

On my mind... the local woman who took her life last week and how terrible it must be to be without hope

From the learning rooms... continuing for Caleb the heavy stuff...World War I

Noticing that... I need to grab the sun by lunch to get the best from it's rays

Pondering these words... taken from Dr. David Jeremiah's new book, Living with Confidence in a Chaotic World..."It's possible to have three hundred "connections" on Facebook, two hundred "following" you on Twitter, and still feel as if no one really knows you at all."

From the kitchen... big pot of hamburger soup and cornmeal muffins

Around the house... oohing and awing about all the goodies I bought at The Country Pantry over the week-end and how nice things look all cleaned and freshened up...even the garbage smells nice with all the old spices dropped in.

One of my favorite things~ laughter from my husband

From my picture journal...

my daughter, Olivia..best soul friend this momma could have
